Don’t get abused!

Today we got other problems than people who lived in 19th century, for example. Nowadays people are much more pragmatic and realistic than, for example, 50 years ago. People’s opinions on the online gambling are seriously divided. Some say that gambling is nothing but fun, while others state that
it is a public evil. Millions of people are gamble online daily and only thousands of them undergo gambling addiction.
For some people gambling is a habit and a way of living. People try to earn for living by gambling. The more professional they are the more money they could win. But, anyway, this is pretty risky and one day luck could change and they would loose lots of money.
There are many signs of gambling addiction, but they are hardly detectable. There are no physical signs of abuse. However, behavioural signs can be detected easily, for example person’s constant lack of time for family or work. Gamblers become more annoyed, nervous and antsy. They are wasting their
time trying to find new better tips, new places for betting, new bookies and contacts in the gambling world.
The main problem of excessive gambling is that the gambler always wants to regain his money. He keeps false hope of hitting the jackpot while loosing more and more money. If he has no more money then he goes and takes loans, encashes deposits, steals things, lies to his wife and family, to his emloyer and others about many things, including his financial condition. That, undoubtedly leads to serious loss of trust and can ruin any relationships, either business, family or relationships with friends.
Also, there is such a factor, that he refuses to see his excessive gambling as a problem. He can blame anyone and anything, but not himself. To get more money he may use any means necessary, like false insurance claims, or he may try to create some remarkable and crazy schemes to get money out of his
coolleagues or friends.
All this can have unpredictable consequences. An obsessive gambler can loose his friends, loose his family and waste his life completely. However, let’s don’t lose hope on bringing back this obsessive gambler to a normal life. The only way to save him is to offer help. Any kind of help
would be useful, you can support him morally or you can support him financially. But, to do this, you have to be sure, that he or she agrees that gambling became a real problem in his or her life.
There are other ways to help an obsessive gambler - for example, anonymous groups, like Gamblers Anonymous. But, anyway, to start shaking off this ugly habit, one must agree that he (or she) is an addicted gambler.
So, you can avoid offline or online gambling abuse, if you’ll stick to this few rules:
1. Be a responsible gambler
2. Remember about self-control even in most complicated situations
